Luck O' the Irish | Saint Patrick's Day | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

Saint Patrick's Day is a big deal in our household — afterall, we're all Irish! This year, we sorta went all out ... but I'm thinking next year can be bigger. Any way, we decided to through a St. Patty's Day family friendly party. Boy! Did we have a ton of kids! It was utter chaos, but the wee' ones had a blast!

But first things first! My son woke up to a lil' surprise the morning of March 17th.

A sneaky lil' leprechaun used our toilet! What?! My son was so confused. But cheered up when he discovered the leprechaun's gold --- they were chocolate!

After the early, crazy morning, we headed downtown to participate in the inaugural St. Patty's day 5K run. (Instagram photos)

Next, we headed home for a special breakfast -- green pancakes and milk with Lucky Charms.

Now for the P.A.R.T.Y.

We had rainbow appetizers, green beer, and corned beef shepherds' pie.

Then we set up a "photo booth" to take silly pics in front of.

Like I said ... it was pure chaos.

We also made crafts and had a scavenger hunt in which the kids LOVED. They were given clues to follow the rainbow to a surprise!

A POT OF GOLD! They torn this pot open and then we had to take all the gold coins and seperate them equally ... but phew! They LOVED the hunt that they wanted to play again and again!

To say the least, we had a blast! Thank you to a dear friend and co-worker, Felix with Pressed Leaf Photography, for grabbing the camera and snapping away! You rock and your style is so different from mine, that it's a nice change of pace!
